The Way of Abraham — The Essence of Faith
The Quran uses the word Islam not as a religious label, but as a description of a spiritual state:
Islam = Submission to God Alone.
Anyone who submits to God alone—regardless of background, culture, or label—is a submitter (muslim). This is the religion of Abraham, the same path followed by all prophets, and the same path God invites every soul to follow.
Submission Is Universal
Submission is timeless and universal. It is grounded in:
- Belief in one God
- Trust in God
- Obedience to God’s commands
- Righteous conduct
- Belief in the Hereafter
- Rejection of idolatry and human-made authority
Submission is a condition of the heart, not a membership in any group.
Abraham and the Term 'Muslim'
The Quran explains that Abraham and his followers were the first to identify themselves as muslimeen (submitters). Abraham submitted entirely to God’s will and commanded his children to uphold the same pure monotheism. Islam is therefore not a new religion—it is the continuation of Abraham’s system of submission.
Submission Means Freedom
To submit to God is to free oneself from:
- Clerry and religious authorities
- Saints and 'holy' people
- Scholars claiming divine authority
- Cultural traditions and inherited doctrines
- Man-made religious innovations
Submission restores the direct relationship between the human being and God.
The Core Principle: God Alone
All submitters are united by one principle:
Only God has authority.
Only God can guide.
Only God can forgive.
Only God can protect.
Submission means relying on God for guidance, strength, peace, and purpose.
Submission in All Revelation
Every prophet—Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, Muhammad—brought the same message:
- Worship God alone
- Lead a righteous life
- Believe in the Hereafter
- Avoid corruption and injustice
- Follow God’s commandments
There has only ever been one religion with God: the religion of submission.
A Practical Way of Life
Submission is lived through:
- Honesty and integrity
- Kindness and charity
- Gratitude and humility
- Fairness and justice
- Forgiveness and compassion
These values transcend all cultures and unite humanity on the foundation of righteousness.
Submission Brings Peace
The root of the word ‘Islam’ is silm—peace. True peace arises from:
- Trusting God
- Accepting His decree
- Appreciating His blessings
- Following His guidance
- Letting go of fear and anxiety
Submission brings inner stability, clarity, and lasting peace.
A Call to the Original Faith
To embrace submission is to return to the religion of Abraham—the pure monotheism God has always revealed. It is simple, direct, and universal:
- God alone
- Scripture alone
- Righteousness
- Accountability
- Inner peace
- Eternal success
This is Islam in its original Quranic meaning—not a cultural identity, but a universal spiritual truth.
